Overall, the SOND 2026 climate outlook indicates that most parts of the country are expected to receive near-normal to above-normal (near-average to above-average) rainfall, and warmer than average temperatures. The outlook of this season is expected to be associated with El Nino episode. The spatial distribution of the seasonal rainfall outlook and climatology are shown in Figures 1(a) and 1(b), respectively, and the expected temperature distribution is provided in Figure 2.
